Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Wind Serenades Serenades and divertimenti were very popular in the musical
life of Saltzburg. Such things were sometimes played outdoors and drew
huge crowds. In this CD we have a subset which consists of pieces
composed for small groups of wind instruments. These pieces are
sprightly and nicely performed. For me though, they are but a first
course and need something to come after. Fans for wind instruments will
probably feel quite differently. (Count K)
